Babel is a visual novel game based on the theme "Rebirth." The player awakens and explores an abandoned luxury space cruise as Babel, an AI customer agent. As Babel explores the ship, he regains his lost memories and tries to make sense of what happened.
The overall development took 48 hours and was a really great experiencce working in a team with people of varying roles. I designed two of the characters in the game and drew their game sprites. I programmed the game using Ren'Py, and implemented features such as a lock restriction on a room unless all other rooms have been visited and character jump/bounce to provide a more immersive playing experience.
Added Prima's video and Eddie's music to the launch screen.
Player is unable to move to the Navigation Bridge until all other areas have been explored.
Added sprite movement and bounce to show the character's surprise.
